Timesheet approval

Learn how to review and approve worker timesheets to ensure accurate payments and avoid disputes.

How timesheet approval works

Workers submit their timesheets by entering their start time, finish time, and breaks. You'll need to approve these timesheets before workers can be paid.

Weekly pay cycles

For jobs longer than one week, Temp uses weekly pay cycles. You'll approve timesheets and pay workers weekly until the job is complete.

Approving timesheets

  • Navigate to the My Jobs page and select the job
  • Review each worker's submitted hours, start/finish times, and breaks
  • Click Approve to confirm the hours are correct
  • Once approved, click Pay Now to release payment to workers
Important

Once you click Pay Now, the payment is initiated and cannot be reversed. Always double-check hours before approving.

Handling hour discrepancies

Sometimes workers complete more or fewer hours than originally advertised. Temp handles this automatically:

  • Fewer hours worked: You'll receive a refund for the hours not worked
  • Additional hours worked: A correction charge is calculated automatically
  • You can edit timesheet entries before approval if adjustments are needed

Avoiding approval mistakes

  • Check total hours worked before approval
  • Verify break times are accurate
  • Note any additional hours worked during the shift
  • Communicate with workers if something looks off
