Everything you need to know to create your profile, find jobs, and get paid on Temp.
Create your account
Getting started on Temp is quick and easy. You'll need to provide some basic information: your name, contact details, and bank account number for receiving payments.
Enter your bank account number without spaces or dashes. NZ bank accounts are 15-16 digits (e.g., 1202929292828265). Double-check this—we can't amend payments once sent.
Complete your profile
A complete profile significantly increases your chances of landing jobs. Take time to fill out:
- Profile picture (professional and friendly)
- About section describing yourself and work style
- Skills relevant to the jobs you want
- Education and past work experience
Add logos to your profile by pasting website links for your education or past employers in the website field.
Start applying
Once your profile is complete, you're ready to apply for jobs. Browse available shifts, filter by location and type, and apply to jobs that match your skills and availability.
Only apply for jobs you're 100% certain you can attend. Failing to show up without a valid reason can result in being banned from the platform.
Your first job
When you're accepted for a job, you'll receive a notification. You'll also get reminders before the job starts. Remember: first impressions matter—your performance directly affects your rating.
For your first few jobs, consider choosing employers with higher ratings. This helps ensure a good experience while you build your reputation.
